Did you know? NO for dogs!
Hi there dog lovers!
It’s important to know which human foods are a big no-no for your furry friends.
❌️ Alcohol, caffeine
Let’s start with the party essentials: alcohol and caffeine. Not only can these make your pup feel pretty ruff, but they can also be seriously dangerous, causing everything from restlessness to seizures.
❌️ Cherries, chocolate
Now, onto some fruity business. Cherries might seem like a sweet treat, but they contain cyanide, which is no joke for dogs. And let’s not forget about everyone’s favorite – chocolate. As much as we love it, it’s a big “paws off” for dogs due to theobromine, which can lead to all kinds of tummy troubles and worse.
❌️ Grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts
Then there’s grapes and raisins, which can really go to the dogs because they’re toxic and can cause major kidney problems. Macadamia nuts can make your pup feel weaker than a squirrel with shaky legs, and garlic and onions can mess with their red blood cells – not cool.
❌️ Walnuts, xylitol
Walnuts are another nut to watch out for, as molds on them can cause some serious issues for your pup’s brain. And be on the lookout for xylitol, a sneaky sugar substitute that can lead to some scary drops in blood sugar and liver problems for your furry friend.
So, let’s keep those snacks out of reach and the tails wagging! If you think your dog has gotten into any of these troublemakers, don’t hesitate to reach out to your vet for help. Your pup will thank you for it!
